Under the immediate direction of the Superintendent and/or designee, the TOSA
Summer School Lead position will directly plan, manage and coordinate an elementary or middle school Summer School program.
The Educational Services Department is pleased to share the following MUSD Summer School information with you. This information is provided to you so that you may plan accordingly should you choose to apply for a position in one of Monrovia's summer programs
Summer School Sites:
Plymouth Elementary School
Wild Rose Elementary School
Summer School Dates:
June 11 - July 12, 2024 (School will be closed on June 19 & 28, July 4 & 5)
Summer School Hours of Operation:
Elementary School: 8:00am - 12:30pm
TOSA Lead Hours: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm
Job Description / Essential Elements:
TEACHER ON SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT - SUMMER PROGRAM
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Serve as Summer School coordinator, concerning instructional programs and services.
Make recommendations concerning curriculum and instructional materials.
Manage and supervise the operation of a school.
Maintain student discipline in the schools through the appropriate school based leadership.
Supervise school based state and federal programs.
Recommend personnel positions in the site/district.
Consult with staff members in planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the activities of their respective areas of responsibility.
Interpret and administer the policies, rules and regulations of the Board of Education.
Assist in the preparation and administration of the school budget.
Prepare such reports as the Superintendent and/or designee may request.
Assume instructional responsibility for all relevant services.
Participate in the general management of the district.
Demonstrate professional demeanor, attitude, and conduct across all areas of responsibility and authority.
Demonstrate successful leadership.
Provides leadership commensurate with the needs of Summer School.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
You must have the following:
- Valid California teaching Credential
- California Administrative Services Credential (Certificate of Eligibility is acceptable)
