MESA’s Summer Internship Program provides students interested in cathodic protection and pipeline integrity an opportunity to travel around the United States, gaining valuable experience with MESA’s cathodic protection installation and pipeline integrity services.
Prior to working in the field, MESA provides extensive SAFETY training and orientation. Internships last approximately 16 weeks, and Interns should expect to travel at least 80% of the duration of their internship. Travel may include flying or driving with a small crew in a MESA vehicle.
In addition to a competitive hourly rate, MESA Interns receive:
- Monthly cell phone allowance of $75
- Paid travel and hotel
- Meal per diem of $50 per day when traveling
- Holiday pay
Qualifications:
- Active enrollment in a cathodic protection or pipeline integrity associate degree program
- Able to travel extensively
- Able to work outdoors and walk long distances on uneven terrain
- Able to pass DOT pre-employment drug test and random drug and/or alcohol screening
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is preferred
