Responsibilities
The summer Internship is a 10-week program in the months of May-August.
Interns will be expected to work 20 hours/week and will coordinate their schedule with their supervisor.
- Assist Medical Assistants in basic tasks such as rooming patients, taking vital signs, answering messages, contacting patients, etc
- Assist providers as needed in procedures and patient care
- Assist Social Workers with patient outreach
- Assist Care Manager with patient outreach and care management
- Attend clinic meetings
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Must be one of the following:
- Enrolled at least half-time in an accredited community college, college, or university as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Be a recent graduate of an undergraduate of graduate program and be applying for medical school in the corresponding year.
