Internship Overview:

We are offering a credit-based internship opportunity for an enthusiastic book lover with a passion for learning more about digital marketing and consumer engagement to join the ABRAMS team as a summer intern!
The Digital Strategy & Consumer Engagement Intern will work closely with the ABRAMS Digital, Social Media, and Consumer Marketing teams on projects spanning the creation, execution, and analytic analysis and reporting of both book specific and event driven campaigns. In this role, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to work on major brands such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Lightlark Saga, as well as books for both children and adults created in partnership with Marvel, LucasFilm, Netflix, and other major licensors.
Tasks may include copywriting, routing, and organizing Social Media and other digital materials, coordinating consumer and influencer mailings, planning for consumer shows and events including comic cons and literary festivals, participating in brainstorms, conducting audience research, and updating and maintaining departmental organizational documents. This role will also assist in evaluating ROI on performance marketing campaigns and will receive training on how to maximize engagement to drive conversion.

The Digital Strategy & Consumer Engagement Intern will also attend key meetings and can learn from multiple staff members across the company during day-to-day activities and seasonal processes. This is an exciting opportunity to build upon experience in each of the growth avenues of consumer outreach and engagement!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be currently enrolled in a college program with a focus/major in English, Communications, Marketing, or Publishing
  • Have an interest in pursuing a career in publishing and a passion for books
  • Exhibit a keen eye for detail and demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  • Possess excellent writing and communication skills and work well in a collaborative team environment
  • Be excited and motivated to learn, grow, research, and solve problems

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Mac OS and MS Office Suite, with strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Abode Acrobat Pro
  • Working knowledge of Social Media platforms including Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, a plus
