Description
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Develop CIP Manual for 5 CIP systems, and work with Chemserve to validate CIP and wash cycles. Will give the intern valuable experience and understanding of food sanitation and plant GMPs.
- Update lab procedures to the new DFA procedure formats, and insure they meet the requirements of the Standard Methods for the Examination of Dairy Product and Corporate Procedures
- Work Sanitation Supervisor and QA Manager on sanitation PM programs.
- Work on and develop effective filler clean procedures and training program for fillers.
- Monitors plant sanitation and good manufacturing practices daily so that high standards of sanitation are maintained. Will give the intern valuable experience and understanding of food sanitation and Plant GMPs.
- Other assignments in the QA department as needed.
Requirements
The qualified candidate will be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a degree focus in Food Science, Dairy Science, Food Processing or related field.
