Title of Role:Quality and Compliance Specialist
Background & Purpose of the Job
The Quality and Compliance Specialist role reports to the Quality Manager. The main purpose of the role is to be the site Quality Expert driving the highest quality standards through compliance to our specifications, standards and policies in our factory and new innovations. The role will be focused on ensuring highest level of quality control and quality assurance activities in our Sikeston Manufacturing site.

What You'll Do
  • Ensure compliance to our factory standards, specifications and GMPs. Will ensure effectiveness via use of assessment/audit and CAPA that supports the findings.
  • Ensure quality program skill and training programs implemented for site.
  • Manages internal and external audit programs including but not limited to setting audit schedule, managing external audits, performing external audit preparation.
  • Manages CAPA generation and completion process for internal and external audit findings.
  • Lead the Supplier Quality initiatives in collaboration with corporate Supplier Quality.
  • Manages root cause investigations internally for supplier nonconformances and customer complaints.
  • Quality representative for Innovation projects to drive compliance, growth, and consumer relations.
  • Provide support towards consumer complaint reduction and improvements
  • Manages compliance and updates to Food Safety, Food Defense, HACCP plans.
  • Co-leads Food Safety and Food Defense teams with the Quality Manager
  • Manages document control and documentation management including policies, procedures, forms, cleaning records, and batch records.
  • Drives process control by partnering across the sites on policy, procedure and form creation and updates.
  • Leads teams to quickly address and resolve Quality issues in both systems and processes.
  • Support the Quality Management System improvement process for the most relevant topics including SAP-QM and QualityOne (Veeva).
  • Provides Quality updates to Category to key stake holders.
  • Collaborates with R&D and others in Supply Chain to enable key work streams driving our business growth.
  • Serve as third party laboratory and procurement liaison leading 8 Stages of Incoming Material methodology for non-conforming products and associated improvement initiatives.

What You'll Need:
  • Preferred University degree in technical discipline or general sciences. Preferred: Food or Dairy Science, Biology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Microbiology, or Chemistry
  • Applied knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, FSSC 22000/GFSI, FDA 21 CFR 110, PMO, FSMA Gluten Free, Non-GMO, Kosher, Halal etc.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, with regulatory-facing experience as a plus.
  • Preferred PCQI certification, HACCP certification
  • Demonstrated leader of functional working teams
  • Proven effective in collaboration and communication
  • Basic proficiency in MS tools (Excel, Power BI, PPT) and UL Business Systems (SAP, PLM)

Pay: The pay range for this position is $67,000 to $100,500. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
