Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support activities within ERP platform (Syteline / PLM).
- Create item numbers and perform item maintenance.
- Create bill of material (BOM) / routings and perform data maintenance.
- Perform nomenclature standardization (item naming & coding, i.e., “spacer naming”).
- CAD
- Create and maintain drawings to specific standards.
- Create dfx files as required.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing / assembly.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve non-conformance issues.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings.
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance following placement to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.
- Manage engineering project based on scope provided, report recommendations to leadership prior to end of internship.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma required.
- Rising college junior or senior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program for engineering (preferred).
- Pursuit of technical degree; preferably in Engineering.
Requirements:
- Moderate proficiency with 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Possess strong mathematical skills; proficiency in working with numbers.
- Must possess basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Technical thinker with ability to work with hand tools.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- $1,000 signing bonus provided.
