Job Summary:
To contribute to the efficient operation of a school office and building so that the office’s maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.
General Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Technology and typing skills
- Working knowledge of math
- Working knowledge of a Student Database system, preferably Skyward
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS
Staff member will effectively perform the following duties in a timely manner:
- Knowledge of student and employee database system entries and reports
- Perform usual office routines & practices associated with a busy, yet productive and smoothly run office.
- Maintain student/staff records as shall be required.
- Receive and route all incoming calls.
- Registration of new students.
- Familiarity and/or knowledge of office machines.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with faculty, staff, and community.
- Knowledge of First Aid for minor scrapes and bruises and familiarity with the incubation period of childhood diseases.
- Must maintain office confidentiality.
- Friendly, warm and welcoming to all who enter the building/office. Greet people, ask them what they need help with, and welcome them to the building/office. You are the first impression of the building and the district.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, teachers, administration and community.
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
- Ability to use e-mail and office equipment effectively.
