Angeles College is looking for a substitute Medical AssistantInstructor with BLS/CPR Instructor Credentials that will serve as a substitute Instructor with the possibilities of being assigned as the instructor of an evening or daytime class in the very near future. The substitute instructor will also conduct CPR classes, tutoring sessions, various other workshops and student activities.
- Teaches and implements the curriculum, provides related instruction and supervises student training in Medical offices.
- Maintains accurate records of attendance, grades, student progress, and reports the same in a timely manner to Program Director.
- Maintains clean, effective, and professional learning environment.
- Attends all scheduled in-service activities, meetings, and completes all scheduled/assigned activities in support of individual faculty development plan.
- Discusses with students their concerns and/or problems directly or indirectly related to learning experience.
- Is responsible to assist the student to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
- Maintains discipline and enforces school rules and regulations.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related medical field or in Human Anatomy and Physiology is preferred but not required
- Can assistant in Medical Assistant student recruitment, externship, and job placement. Experience preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years of experience in front/back office medical assisting.
- 1 year teaching experience preferred.
- BLS/CPR Instructor Credential
- Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
