NewVista Health and Wellness is a forward thinking development and operating company of behavioral health hospitals, Substance Abuse rehabilitation centers, and behavioral health providers. NewVista is currently seeking a LCDC II or a CDCA with experience to work in a therapeutic setting providing care and treatment to our clients. CDCAs need a minimum of 3 years' experience. This will be located at our SUD facility Ethan Crossing of Cleveland in Euclid, Ohio.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The LCDC II / CDCA will be a highly motivated clinician, comfortable working independently with minimal oversight at times. The clinician will be responsible for driving to multiple locations and maintain their case load. This position requires someone extremely organized, ok with a fast-paced job.
Skills:

• Understand and maintain confidentiality of client information and records.
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE with clinical Documentation and charting in a EMR.
• Ensure clients attend scheduled activities and required Groups.
• Provide appropriate help during emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Build positive relationships with other staff
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
• Always follow Infection Control Guidelines at all times.
• Provide a safe, therapeutic environment for staff and clients.
• Provide a daily report to management.
• Facilitate client's rules and responsibilities. Report noncompliance to management.
• Collect urine samples from clients
• Assist and complete intake assessments.
• Perform Searches and/or Random Searches when drug activity/suspicion is reported
• Provide strong Case management services to assist with discharge planning.
• Ability to complete and document treatment plans.
• Ability to be on feet throughout assigned shift
• Assist Management, Clinical and Nursing with client's day to day operations as needed
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• CDCA requires at least 3 year of experience
• An understanding of the 12-step recovery process preferred
• Must have an acceptable Driving History

Job Requirements
Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Behavioral Health field.
• Demonstration of group facilitation skills, knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatments.
• Crisis intervention skills. CPI training/certification preferred, but will train.

Certifications:

• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or within two weeks of hire.
• LCDC II Ohio license Required
• CDCA Certification Required

Work Experience:

• At least 3 year of experience in a mental/behavioral health setting preferred

Other Requirements

• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have a current Driver License, insurance and reliable transportation.
• Must be open to traveling to multiple locations to manage case load.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.
• Adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines affecting the work environment, as well as maintenance of required competencies and communications skills.
