We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals overcome their addiction and achieve long-term recovery. - Provides counseling services to adult individuals with a Mental Health or substance use disorder diagnosis
- Manages a caseload of approximately 40 MH, SUD, or Dual-Diagnosis clients; expectations are to provide service weekly or bi-weekly.
- Conducts, updates, or reviews treatment plans designated for clients while compliant with policies and timelines mandated by governing entities.
- Provides diagnosis and conducts assessments; may serve as a substitute for intake when required
- Attendance and participation in trainings and meetings as scheduled
- Participates in ongoing program improvement
- Makes referrals for Case Management, peer support, and other PPD services or to different community organizations when appropriate
- Participates in meetings with Clinical Supervisor regularly as scheduled
- Utilizes evidence-based approaches to care, including motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and strength-based therapy.
- Monitors and updates client records in the EHR system while complying with HIPAA.
- Coordinate care with all members of the team, clinical and non-clinical.
- Communicates and responds promptly and professionally in person, by correspondence, or by phone contact.
- Consistently achieves the productivity expectations of People, Places, and Dreams.
- May assist in the collection of urine screens
- May provide site supervision to peers or interns
- Assisting with record reviews and preparations for upcoming audits
- Monitor outcomes and make accurate time adjustments to ensure the program meets targets.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.35 - $29.15 per hour
