Substance Abuse Counselor-Brooklyn-NY

A reputable out-patient facility in the heart of Brooklyn is looking to immediately hire a Full-time Substance Abuse Counselor (LMHC/LMSW/LCSW) with CASAC credential and experience in alcoholism and drug treatment. Salary is $50K-$65K a year plus a hefty employment package that includes PTO and full health insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Providing individual and group counseling sessions to clients.
• Conducting intakes and assessments to determine level of care.
• Developing treatment plans based on bio-psychosocial evaluations.
• Charting client progress and monitoring treatment effectiveness.
• Involving family members in the treatment process.
• Fulfilling additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree: In Mental Health Counseling (MHC), or Social Work (MSW),

License/Certification: CASAC or CASAC-T, and

Experience in alcoholism and drug treatment (1 year preferred)

Job Type and Schedule:

• Full Time, 8 hrs. a day.
