Leading, global production and post-production company seeks a Studio Manager to actively support and lead the customer-facing Studio Services team in New York, with responsibility for creating a premium but welcoming atmosphere for clients and staff alike. The Studio Manager will ensure the smooth operation of the company's studio facilities and the successful interaction with its clients, taking full ownership of certain space operations, aspects of team management, and assigned internal projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate for this position will be charismatic, highly organized, and have leadership experience in the hospitality industry. The Studio Manager will report directly to the Client Services Manager with oversight from the senior management team.
Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure VIP, white-glove hospitality services are provided at all times throughout each facility location
- Train all client services and coordinating staff to provide unfailing, premium services to and interface with clientele in the feature film, television, and advertising industries
- Greet clients and create a lively, welcoming atmosphere while exhibiting professional and graceful demeanor
- Manage studio spaces on a daily basis: coordination and communication with vendors, upkeep, presentation, and supply ordering
- Provide support to Client Services Manager with special projects, studio operations, and staff management, taking lead on key tasks or deliverables where required
- Plan and oversee staff and client facing events, in the studio and offsite
- Facilitate client requests and support company staff, creating new and refining existing systems, where necessary
- Problem solve proactively under pressure and anticipation of client needs
- Answer phones, transfer calls, and take/send messages
- Maintain food services, coffee/beverages, and kitchen/lounge
- Manage studio budgets strictly and carefully
- Interface with clients on a daily and ongoing basis to serve their projects and to build their relationships within the studio and with its artists
- Manage Studio Services staff, including scheduling, training, certain personnel issues, and communication with producing teams
- Support producing team with special projects and problem-solving, as assigned
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and procedures onsite
- Enforce COVID-19 protocols onsite, maintain cleanliness of the studio and encouraging regular disinfection of work stations
- Support executive assistant with executives' scheduling and time management
- Other duties, as required and assigned
Qualifications
Required qualifications and background:
- Professional customer service/hospitality experience
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university and superior writing skills
- Outgoing, friendly personality and ability to thrive in a busy environment
- Strong aptitude for hospitality, networking, and client interaction
- High attention to detail and superior organization skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to "think on your feet" and problem solve
- Proven success in managing and motivating supervised staff member and colleagues
- Film, television & entertainment experience or knowledge a plus but not required

Compensation Range $58,500 - $70,000: This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
