Job Summary:
As a Studio Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and daily
direction to the sales, operations, and fitness teams in our studios. Studio Managers
must possess a high-caliber approach to coaching and staff development to meet studio
sales targets and ensure consistent operational excellence. As the sales leader, the
The Studio Manager must execute internal and external lead generation strategies to
increase membership sales as well as promote the Basecamp culture of welcoming,
encouraging and celebrating our members. In addition to top-line revenue growth
activities, the Studio Manager position is responsible for expense management
including studio labor spend, ordering supplies, retail inventory management, and
preventative maintenance efforts for the studio.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving studio performance metrics (KPIs) and P&L targets,
delivering top-line revenue and net profit
Manage controllable expense budgets of P&L including payroll, repair &
maintenance, supplies, inventory
Responsible for meeting monthly sales targets, building EFT dues & increasing new
members
Oversee the entire sales funnel top to bottom, including lead generation, external
outreach efforts, lead management, follow-up, presenting, and selling memberships.
Personally prospecting and generating leads through social media, corporate
partnerships, guerilla marketing, outreach events, business-to-business partnerships
and referrals
Recruiting, hiring, and supporting the onboarding of Basecamp employees and
leading by example, providing continued coaching and development for ongoing
success & future growth.
Managing and delivering performance evaluations & disciplinary actions involving
all studio employees; and terminations according to Basecamp policies and
procedures
Empowering team by including staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and
process improvement; Taking responsibility for subordinates' activities; Making self
available to staff; Developing subordinates' skills and encouraging growth; Fostering
positive accountability; Improving processes, products, and services; Continually
working to improve supervisory skills
Ensuring all Basecamp Fitness Standard Operating Procedures are consistent and
aligned with protecting the business
Auditing and verifying the studios payroll information each payroll cycle
Work with the Fitness Manager to ensure scheduling optimization to build and
maintain Basecamp class size
Monitoring the P&L reports for the studio and making weekly adjustments to the studio
plan to fill in any gaps between actual performance and company projections
Identifying and prioritizing studio performance issues to make certain that the issues
affecting key studio drivers and profitability are addressed first
Immediately addressing any lapses in compliance with corporate policies or local,
state and federal laws
Acting as a coach to the Assistant Studio Managers (ASMs) and Fitness Manager
(FM) as a resource to each of the studios employees to help inspire the success of the
studio
Responsible for weekly staff meetings and annual Basecamp staff performance
reviews
Ensuring that all front desk systems are followed, such as proper member greeting,
check-in, bike set-up, telephone inquiries (general and sales-related), guest
registration, cash handling, delinquent account procedures, customer care call
Managing attrition by providing and maintaining the highest level of customer
service. Responding promptly to customers needs and seeking feedback to improve
Planning and promoting studio mixers on a monthly basis for community
involvement and effective outreach
Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and well-stocked facility at all times.
Following through on daily studio cleaning checklists and maintenance efforts.
Overseeing general maintenance of the studio and working with the landlord, vendors
and contractors to ensure the timely completion of any studio maintenance projects.
Ensure all employees are responsible for observing safety and security procedures as
applicable and reporting potentially unsafe conditions to management as soon as
possible
Retail Measure and evaluate studio-specific opportunities to improve retail sales.
Preserve profits by ensuring the completion of routine loss prevention measures such as
retail audits

REQUIRED
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage client and staff
concerns
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including,
but not limited to attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending
assignments on time, and scheduled work breaks, where applicable.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Strong computer skills required with knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel,
Word) and must be able to adapt and learn computer systems (POS, CRM, etc.) in a
timely manner in order to be successful in their position
Ability to manage and effectively engage with followers on social media platforms
like Instagram and Facebook
Required Skills
Minimum Education & Knowledge
A high school diploma or General Education Degree required
o College degree or related 2+ years of management experience preferred
o Health & Fitness minded people with a passion for fitness strongly preferred
Minimum Work Experience
o 2+ years of management experience interviewing, hiring, onboarding and retaining
team members required
o 2+ years of previous sales experience required
o Management experience in boutique fitness or in a health club strongly
recommended
