Grand Canyon University is seeking a VR Lab Assistant to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's CSET-Technology department.
Purpose within the Organization: The purpose of this position is to support the growth, efforts, and goals of the CSET-Technology team.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
- Manage access to lab resources by authorized students
- Maintain and troubleshoot software installation
- Maintain VR equipment
- Configure workstations for use a VR development stations
- Configure virtual environments for data science applications
Equipment Used:
- Laptop/Desktop: Microsoft Office
- Mac and Windows Operating System
- VR Lab Equipment such as Oculus Headset
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with Unity 3D
- Working knowledge with Oculus Quest
- Working knowledge with virtualization and clustering
- GPU programming
Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University
