The focus for our team members is to provide the Habit Difference through food, guaranteeing our guests enjoy quality and custom-built items made to order right from our kitchen. Also responsible for Front of House functions to ensure smooth shift.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

- Meet Habit/Sodexo uniform standards every shift with provided shirt, hat, and nametag (all jewelry and watches are prohibited during shifts).
- Clean as you go through each station on every shift.
- Attend to all areas of dining room to maintain clean and safe environment for guests.
- Ensure workstations are stocked and well-maintained.
- Participate in monthly training for company, safety, and hazard topics.
- May include working an opening or closing shift.
- Assist customers with nutritional information concerning dietary restrictions and allergens.
Qualifications:
- Must conform to all Habit/Sodexo dress code, standards/policies, and PPE requirements.
- Must have a Maricopa County Food Handler's Card and Food Service nonslip shoes before first shift.
- Must have complete open availability around scheduled classes including nights and around/on some holidays. WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED.
- Attend scheduled shifts on time and ready to work.
- Ability to cross train in other areas of the restaurant including prep kitchen and Front of House.
- Sense of urgency and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Works with professionalism and integrity.
- Communicates respectfully to co-workers, customers, and others visiting our location.
- Able to assist in providing direction and being responsive to employees.
- Open minded to growing and learning different areas of the business.
- Ability to learn and work on cash register in order handle cash, card, and GCU transactions.
Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
