In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
- Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
- Federal Work Study student may apply.
- In good disciplinary standing.
- Must be located in the U.S.

Student Video Editors are assigned projects and tasks to assist the Video Production Editor who has the responsibility for post-production and asset management of college generated productions. We are seeking a creative student employee to join our team as a Video Editor. As a Video Editor, you will play a role in producing high-quality video content for the college. This is an opportunity for a motivated student with a passion for video production to gain practical experience, and to contribute to exciting projects for Berklee College of Music.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Edit and assemble raw footage into a polished video content.
- Incorporate music and graphics into videos as needed.
- Implement visual effects and sound editing.
- Maintain quality and continuity of multiple projects while working against set deadlines.
- Assist with transferring of digital events and data entry.
- Assist with managing and organizing of video files.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques.
- Video production projects may be assigned as directed.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software.
- Strong understanding of video editing techniques, including effects, color grading and transitions.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of audio editing and sound design principles.
- Demonstrates the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
