Job description

Meet Our Team:

We’re like Ocean’s 11…but you know, there’s not 11 of us. We’re a bunch of down to earth people who are close knit, practice strong partnership, and love telling great stories. We are incredibly talented, and we aren’t afraid to be wrong to get to the best result.

Picture Yourself at Pega:

As we continue to evolve our video brand, we’ll look for your help to artistically distinguish ourselves from our competitors. What makes a good video better? What makes a canned message feel authentic? How can we build classic storytelling techniques into even the most corporate of videos?

What You'll Do at Pega:

As a post-production lead, this role is responsible for editing projects large and small, with a hands-on emphasis on our most complex, or highest priority projects. As an experienced storyteller, they will elevate the quality of our videos by teasing out the best narrative moments in each and every edit. And as a strong collaborator, they will partner effortlessly with stakeholders across the company to realize a shared vision on how our stories take shape.

This person will also ensure that all our video content moves through post-production swiftly. They’ll make sure priority content is being worked on, as well as delegate tasks that need completing.

The lead editor will manage 1-3 other editors. They should be a skilled manager able to effectively coach, advise and manage the day-to-day editing work of others. They should also be able to assess overall editing team performance on a regular basis with senior leadership.

Finally, as the Lead Editor, this person will assume primary responsibilities regarding Editshare, our file storage system. They will monitor the current capacity of the system, create backups on tape, rotate tapes, and order new tapes when necessary.

Who You Are:

You’re an experienced, battle tested professional who lives and breathes post-production.

You look for story in every moment, and have a keen understanding of what will make a cut and what won’t. You may have worked on corporate content before, and you may be fast, but you consider yourself an artist first. You understand that moods can be gently reshaped in the edit, making good moments great, and great moments incredible.

You’re a person who admires authenticity in all your storytelling. You look for moments to tease out real interactions, to find the narrative, to make something leaves an impression rather than check a box.

You understand how to lead through partnership and mentoring. You always look for the best result- not necessarily what would indulge your ego, but what would truly be best for the business. You’re not afraid to give and get criticism- as long as its constructive, and moves us to a better video.

You love order and certainty in your files, folders, assets, templates, exports and more. You’re a shortcut aficionado who’s always scheming on how to work faster, smarter and sharper.

If you’re the kind of person who sees the corporate video playbook, who recognizes all the lazy, phoned-in, out-of-touch content that’s being shoveled to the masses, and you want to toss all that out the window? This might be the place for you.

What You've Accomplished:

  • You’ve made content that demonstrates a deep narrative literacy
  • You’ve completed projects with tight deadlines
  • You’ve incorporated feedback from stakeholders in a way that builds partnership, while keeping the content strong
  • A portfolio and reel that demonstrates a wide range of work representing multiple storytelling approaches, techniques, production challenges, and budgets.
  • A mastery in Adobe Premiere in order to complete projects quickly and efficiently
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to coach, advice, and manage a stable of editors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and remain calm and professional in high stress situations
  • A problem solver who can troubleshoot technical and editorial issues

Pega Offers You:

  • Gartner Analyst acclaimed technology leadership across our categories of products
  • Continuous learning and development opportunities
  • An innovative, inclusive, agile, flexible, and fun work environment
  • Competitive global benefits program inclusive ofpay + bonus incentive, employee equity in the company
  • Projects that are creatively stimulating, artistically involved, and atypical of most corporate video operations
