As a Miami Lakes Learning Center Intern at Caterpillar, you will be part of an engaged team focused on providing an exceptional customer experience to the learners who visit the learning center. The team has experienced service instructors and a support team. Interns will aid in meeting critical customer requirements in a safe, efficient manner. Interns will receive safety and general training to meet all job requirements.
These intern positions aim to introduce them to various Caterpillar and Caterpillar dealer career opportunities and allow them to interact directly with the instructor and technician career programs. The intern will also observe what is required to run the learning center and manage a team to allow students to build professional skills.
All interns must have a positive school record, including attendance, the ability to work on a team, reliable transportation, a positive attitude and take responsibility for their safety practices.
E4Life Program Qualifications
Seniors attending HS within the Miami area Public Schools
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 (no rounding)
Expected Graduation Date of May/June 2025
Must be able to work 3 hours at least 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday)
Candidate must be:
Safety & quality focused
Able to think through and diagnose an issue and offer potential solutions
Willing to learn and be flexible on the job
Able to lift 50 lbs
Familiar with programs such as Microsoft, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint
Top candidates must have:
Exposure to working as a team
Well-developed problem-solving skills
Self-starter with good time management
Excellent planning, organizational, and multi-tasking skills required
Must be team-oriented and willing to adapt to change
