ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing direct instruction and course administration for multiple sections of GEB 5932, or similar courses, under the guidance and supervision of the Instructor of Record. This includes but is not limited to leading workshop-style class sessions for both in-person and online graduate students, assigning and assessing student work, administering Canvas course pages for each course section. Provide professional development services to in-person and online graduate students, including but not limited to resume and job document review, career planning assistance, mock interviews, and internship guidance and evaluation. Meets regularly with students to develop and implement their career launch plans. Work with the Director of Employer Development in the on-going creation and refinement of educational materials for GEB 5932 or similar courses (lesson plans, assignments, lectures, etc.). Support the assessment of course effectiveness for both in-person and online program goals. Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsBachelor's degree and two years of experience or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree + three years’ experience preferred.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking based upon in-depth data, substantiating information, considering, and respecting others' input personal values, and ethics. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions. Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of career counseling and development. Proficient skills in multimedia and instructional course software. Demonstrated ability to relate to students through the use of basic communication, helping, and problem-solving.
