COMPENSATION: $37,000 - $45,000 Based on experience

ROLE OVERVIEW:
A Student Service / Writer / Editorwith customer service experience and knowledge in writing and editing. Perform duties related to student admission, retention, and graduation. Collaborate with Education, Development and Marketing teams to improve brand awareness. Demonstrate a professional and encouraging attitude toward students and prospective students.
This position reports directly to the Manager of Business Operations and Growth with significant interactions with the MGS Marketing team.
Writer/Editor/Brand Associate
- Develop, write and deliver persuasive copy for a variety of digital platforms, including blogs, email campaigns, advertising campaigns, and social media posts for the firearm industry
- Assist the MGS marketing team in creating content for advertising campaigns
- Responsible for various levels of editing including proofing, revision, copy and line editing
- Proficient in web-based collaboration and communication tools
- Assist in supporting students by providing general administration duties, personal guidance and academic support
- Communicate with students via phone, email, and mail
- Create and maintain student accounts through database management system
- Evaluate student satisfaction to continually improve current processes
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward students, sponsors, and prospective students
- Degree in communications, marketing, advertising, English, or related field
- 3+ years Customer Support experience
- 1+ years of content and writing experience
- Creative and strategic planning
- Critical and analytical thinking required
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
- Highly organized, flexible, and accountable
- Detailed oriented, self-motivated, and deadline driven
- Proficient in WordPress, Constant Contact, and Canva
- Proficient in Adobe Cloud
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Proficient in SEO
