Student Assistant/Career Services Associate (IT School)

Computer Career Institute seeking a friendly and professional Administrative Assistant for Student Services duties. Full time and Part time positions open. One to two evenings a week based on candidate availability.

Duties include:

Answering phone calls in a friendly and professional manner.

Greeting students/guests/clients.

Help/Motivate students to complete their education successfully. Monitor students' progress and take corrective actions on a timely basis. Create and update attendance rosters, contact absentees, update class grades, advise students on their attendance and grades, maintain a watch on students withdrawals, dismissals, leaves of absence or change of status, work with Career Services in preparation of the Technical Career Preparation Workshop.
Helping students with school-related administrative duties; providing Student Services and placement services to our current students and graduates, reporting to the School Director.

Training will be provided. Opportunity for advancement. Prior receptionist, customer service or administrative assistant/Student Services experience in a school setting will be an asset. Candidate should have a desire to help people improve their lives through education.

Requirements: Excellent communication, computer and people skills. Enthusiastic, ability to learn quickly, work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent phone manner and MS Office skills. Bilingual (Spanish) will be preferred. Knowledge of IT industry will be an asset. Love education and to help people, self-motivated; responsible.
