Job Title: Coordinator for Enrollment Services – International Students
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:
The Coordinator for Enrollment Services will serve as a point of contact for all international students at the Post campus. The coordinator will provide holistic support and help to ensure overall student success and satisfaction. This individual will also support the university’s admissions, student engagement, and recruitment efforts.
Behavioral Objectives:
The Coordinator for Enrollment Services will be able to consistently demonstrate the below core competencies as well as those set for all professional educators by the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators NASFAA and New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association NYSFAAA.

- Operational Proficiency : the coordinator will demonstrate proficiency in supporting day-to-day team logistics to include timeliness to work, office coverage, assignment completion, meeting deadlines, submission of timesheets , and vacation requests.
- Customer Orientation : the coordinator will have the ability to demonstrate concern for satisfying one’s external and/or internal customers.
- Solution Focused : the coordinator will demonstrate a positive attitude and perspective while focusing on student and divisional needs, tasks , and goals.
- Thoroughness : the coordinator will ensure that one’s own and others’ work and information are complete and accurate ; carefully preparing for meetings and presentations; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled
Principle Responsibilites:
- Serve as a member of the Enrollment Service office, which oversees financial aid, academic advising, international student services, and other student support services. Advise international students regarding immigration, University policies and procedures, and educational matters. Other duties as assigned by Sr. Associate Directors/Directors of Enrollment Services
- Principal responsibilities include assisting with the execution of the following areas: Financial Aid, Registrar and Bursar
- Enrollment Services Counselor Area Specializations: FINANCIAL AID
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and university financial policies and procedures. Assist students with understanding financial aid procedures and outline a plan for p ay ing for school, including personal finances, student loans, government grants and private scholarships. Assist students in navigating the financial aid process, helping to complete and upload forms into Image Now, providing the needed documents and apprising them of any changes to existing resources.
- Enrollment Services Counselor Area Specializations: STUDENT ACCOUNTS
- Execute functions required for University billing, refunds, cashiering functions, payment plans, collection agreements, EOTs, award book vouchers, and third-party contracts. Communicate billing and payment options to students in a clear and concise manner.
- Enrollment Services Counselor Area Specialization: REGISTRAR
- Assists with campus services including but not limited to: course registration, degree and enrollment verification, transcript processing, records maintenance , residency certification. Assist in the collection and processing of FERPA forms, National Student Clearinghouse, in school deferments, health insurance forms.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required . Masters preferred.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Interpersonal communication skills
Working C onditions:
- At least 2-4 years or progressively professional experience in higher education, enrollment services, student affairs or academic affairs; sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, are required to execute the position’s role responsibly.
- Occasional travel to/from other LIU campuses for the facilitation of training , meetings, and other university functions.
