Job Title: Student Resource Specialist
Department: Finance
Reports To: Managing Director of Student Resources
Compensation: $45,000
TRS Classification: Non-Classified
Summary:
The Student Resource Specialist performs a variety of clerical work including word processing, accounting and record keeping assignments under general supervision. The specialist will work with the Student Resource team to manage information regarding vendors, contracts, and orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Assists with all aspects of the Learning Fund, Assets, and Vendor Relations departments.
Vendor Relations:
Assisting in the vetting process for new vendors.
Reviewing applications for all needed requirements.
Ticket communication assistance.
Learning Fund:
Ticket communication assistance (geared at helping to sort through and assign them to the appropriate LF purchasing agents)
Help to inventory and catalog the LF returns closet.
Assists Learning Fund with tickets, chats and external communications.
Assets:
Assist in making the collection calls.
Assist in the TSI collection letters
Ticket Communication assistance -
Assist in the approvals of supplemental orders.
Record keeping and filing
Maintains Student Resource orders
Assists with contracts and special projects
Processes requisitions to purchase supplies and materials
Communicates procedures and stays up to date with changes
Interfaces with all levels of personnel within the organization
Ensures Epic is compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
Perform any other duty as needed

No supervisory responsibilities
Education and/or Experience:
Experience in record keeping, purchasing, and administrative tasks preferred
Qualifications:
Some coordination with others is occasionally necessary, so strong communication skills are important in this position
Must work at a good pace to ensure that records are well-maintained at all times
Need to have multitasking skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to present effectively and persuasively

Have a good understanding of basic accounting
Have great communication skills, especially good phone etiquette. Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers over the phone. Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections. Be able to handle stressful calls and callers
Have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret internal communications, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from families or members of the business community. Ability to communicate effectively with students, families and coworkers, both verbally and in writing.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math skills required
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office and Google Tools. Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current driver's license and valid car insurance
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Other Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a state-mandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made
Must have favorable employment references
