The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is looking to hire a Student Assistant to assist the Information Technology Contract Management (ITCM) Unit with the daily onboarding/offboarding and annual renewal requirements of information technology (IT) contractor staff under close supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II (ITS II).

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.
Depending on the type of position you are applying for, a pre-employment background check consisting of one or more of the following may be conducted: employment history, professional references, criminal check: educational verification (degree, license, or official transcript) or DMV clearance. Prerequisites
Must be a college student attending classes during the regular term (Fall, Spring and Winter, if applicable), at one of the accredited colleges or universities on our affiliation list.

Students must be enrolled in at least: six-semester units or nine quarter units for undergraduate students; four-semester units or six quarter units for graduate students.

Work Schedule
Flexible workdays and work hours, Monday - Friday, between 8 AM - 5 PM. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor.
Additional Work Schedule
Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant employees generally work up to 24 hours per workweek (Sunday - Saturday) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per workweek during breaks; (winter, spring, and summer).
Minimum Qualifications

- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Need to have appropriate working environment for remote work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience or knowledge with information technology practices and standards, specifically with onboarding.
- Individuals who are, or have been, a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth or a formerly incarcerated youth as defined by Government Code section 18220 are encouraged to apply and will be given priority. Duties and Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the ITS II, assist with gathering, compiling and submission of all documents required for IT Contractor Onboarding/offboarding.
- Assist with IT Contractor Onboarding and offboarding requests.
- Coordinates and responds to all requests assigned.
- Provides support to program for completion of IT Contractor Onboarding/offboarding forms via DocuSign.
- Assist with verification that contractors have fulfilled new and annual requirements and completed all required forms for IT Contractor Onboarding/offboarding.
- Assist with updates to the Contractor Onboarding/offboarding tracking log on the ITCPM SharePoint site, which contains relevant information to provide requestors with status of requests.
- Assists the Contractor Onboarding/Offboarding Liaison with service tickets for user account and e-mail creation.
- Support with IT contractor account set up and provisioning.
- Create service tickets for IT Contractor Onboarding Livescan appointments and notify appropriate parties of any negative responses.
- Assist with coordination of IT contractor offboarding processing.
- Assist the IT Supervisor I with running SAP reports identifying upcoming contract renewals and contact Contract Manager(s) to initiate renewal or terminate the contract.
Physical Requirements

Working Conditions
Work will be performed in a telework/remote environment.
Employees will be required to work according to the current UEI remote workplace policy and sign a UEI telework agreement.
