Role: Structural Engineer
Location: Fort Myers, FL (33901)
Duration: Full-time/ Permanent
About the job
We are seeking Structural Engineers PE's or EIT's to join our growing team! We are based in Southwest Florida and provide Structural Engineering services to various industries. Our clients include architects, engineers, builders, contractors and other parties with project interest.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems and components for various construction projects
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings leveraging familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
- Perform calculations and analysis using Mathcad and other engineering tools
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications
- Review project specifications, contracts, and drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to design standards
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to Structural Engineering
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Mathcad, GIS, and other relevant design software
- Solid understanding of structural analysis principles and building codes
- Excellent mathematical skills for calculations and analysis
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
