Role Overview:

Applies civil and/or architectural design knowledge, skill, and ability to create construction drawings for the project owner and provides continuous professional support throughout the entire construction process. A Design Engineer works under the close supervision of Principals and Project Managers and responsibilities grow with experience, one step at a time. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare calculations using engineering skills and related computer applications.
• Design portions of large projects, or responsible for the design of smaller projects.
• Develop basic construction detailing for BIM and CAD implementation.
• Review and edit project specifications.
• Assist in the field with structural assessments and Investigations.
• Assist the Project Engineer with Construction Administration services including shop drawing review,
• responding to construction issues, and site observations.
• Interact with clients, enforcement agencies, vendors, and other project consultants.
• Respond to comments by building departments or other enforcement agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Architectural Engineering in Civil or Architectural Engineering (Structural emphasis) from an accredited university, as well as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate.
• Professional experience preferred but not required. 
• Excellent communication skills

Travel Requirements:

• Travel is anticipated between 0-10%

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $75,000.00 to $110,000.00
