As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for performing thermal and stress analysis on turbomachinery, gas turbine engines, motors, and other similar components and systems. Your expertise in heat transfer, thermal sciences, and stress analysis will ensure the reliability and performance of our products. You will utilize your proficiency in ANSYS finite element software and classical hand calculation methods to conduct various analyses. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work out of our location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the design and development of our Advanced Mechanical systems. Your analyses will drive the optimization of our products, ensuring their efficiency, durability, and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform thermal and stress analysis on turbomachinery, gas turbine engines, motors, and other similar components and systems
Utilize ANSYS finite element software and classical hand calculation methods for various analyses
Optimize product designs for efficiency, durability, and safety
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in heat transfer, thermal sciences, and stress analysis

Salary Range $110,000-$165,000

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field with emphasis in heat transfer or thermal sciences & stress analysis
Minimum of 5 years of experience performing thermal & stress analysis on turbomachinery, gas turbine engines, motors and/or other similar components and systems
Proficiency in linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, & crack growth analyses
Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software & classical hand calculation methods
