The Transgender Health Program (THP) was established in 2015 with a primary mission to increase access to gender-affirming care and provide essential support to transgender and gender diverse patients. These services encompass support for patients in establishing and navigating gender-affirming care, primary care, hormone therapy, surgical care, and interdisciplinary behavioral health care. Additionally, the program offers educational materials on topics like gender-affirming surgery and fertility options, social support through peer volunteers, and comprehensive family-centered care for individuals of all ages. The THP also plays a vital role in workforce education, policy initiatives, volunteer programs, and collaboration with various OHSU departments. The THP offers its services in multiple clinics within OHSU, spanning specialties such as Gynecology, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Dermatology, and Endocrinology.
