CHANCE Recovery (Community Helping Addicts Negotiate Change Effectively) is a non-profit organization that helps adults recovery from substance abuse and assists with homelessness. It is awesome! Through grants, county contracts, and other funding we are able to guide those struggling with addiction to help them in a variety of ways and place them on a path to independence and recovery.
We need a Certified Peer Support Specialistto provide urinary analysis tests for our county contract on weekends. You work every weekend at our downtown Albany office from 8:30 am - 10:30 am, welcoming scheduled individuals and supervising the sample collection, either urinary or mouth swab sample depending on your gender and the peer coming in. You will complete some paperwork, and leave it for the staff on Monday. You work with one other PSS on duty so you are not alone. It is a simple process that we will train you on and you will help collect samples for 1-10 individuals each day.
We have some requirements to make sure you can provide everything we promise to our peers:
· Certified Peer Support Specialist
· You must pass the Linn County Background check
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
· Ability to use computers including email and be trained on our database.
· At least 2 years of recovery/sobriety.

We hope to hear from you soon and look forward to meeting with you and seeing if this is the place for you!
