About this role:
Frontier Communications is seeking multiple Technology and Engineering Interns with a passion for STEM, collaboration and creative problem-solving. Our interns will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and senior leaders to support our business priorities. Being able to work in a group environment and independently is key. Building relationships among our Technology professionals and your peers will further enhance your experience. The Strategy and Analytics Intern role is a technical hands-on role that will provide interns with the ability to work with experienced data scientists and analysts to complete mission critical projects in support of the commercial sales organization at Frontier. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategy and Analytics, interns will have the opportunity to participate in propensity to churn, propensity to buy, and LCV model development as well as assisting with data prep and migration to the Databricks platform. Other activities could include Saleforce and Power BI dashboard and report development, and process definition and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborative development of statistical models including propensity to churn and propensity to buy utilizing Python, SQL, and machine learning packages.
- Data analysis projects involving SQL, Excel, Power BI and Salesforce. Possible geospatial analysis.
- Communication of analysis and model deliverables at all levels of the organization.
- Documentation of analysis approaches, processes, and deliverables

What you'll need:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university program and is currently a sophomore, junior, or 1st year graduate student
- Concentrating in a STEM field, specifically in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Civil Engineering or Management Information Systems major
- Strong academic achievements and minimum GPA of 3.2 or above preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in teams and individually
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
