Job Summary
Responsible to build a sales plan that identifies and secures new business opportunities and drives growth of Air Methods in the region. Responsible for ensuring the sales KPI’s are met each month/quarter. Responsible for creating a sales plan that includes the full Air Methods portfolio for air medical, patient logistics, billing services, memberships, and targets specific opportunities to grow Air Methods market share in the region. Work closely with the regional VP of sales, Key Accounts, and the Regional VP of Operations to ensure regional growth targets are met.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Work to convert competitive Accounts to Air Methods Corporation
Manage the RFP process from start to finish for all new and current RFPs in the territory.
Direct, prepare and ensure effective implementation of an annual sales business plan. Achieve annual Air Methods Territory Sales Quota as defined annually by the SVP, Sales
Hunt out new opportunities utilizing leads produced both internally and externally; including air medical competitive takeaways, new greenfield bases and ‘Ground Connect” opportunities to meet annually defined Territory Sales Quota.
Manage and build relationships in the region; enter all related information into company’s CRM application.
Work closely with Regional VP/Director of Sales and the Regional Vice President of Customer Experience, including timely updates regarding business and demographic changes, including competitive market intelligence
Execute operational excellence and sales effectiveness by executing the following activities
Responsible for assuring that all business activities are in compliance with designated Air Methods standards.
Represent Air Methods Corp. at appropriate conferences and seminars
Maintain key existing customer relationships / partnerships
Evaluate on a regular basis the risks and benefits of all contractual arrangements with Regional Directors, make changes and modifications for existing and new contract negotiations.

Work with Regional VP of Operations and Regional VP of Sales to convert HBS to ADM where applicable

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and ten years related experience and/or training within aviation or medical and medical transportation services; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of Ten (10) years Medical Sales Experience with long sales cycle and C-Suite level experience
Experience in medical transportation services or health care business development/sales preferred

Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
Ability to prepare written reports and correspondences, and presentations to senior leadership
