About the Role
Uber Eats is looking for a Strategic Operations Manager to drive our user growth strategy for our Alcohol, Retail, Pets, and other strategic verticals. This involves managing our budget for promotions, CRM deployment strategy, and other in-app tools to take users through the user funnel as efficiently as possible. This operations role calls for a combination of creative problem-solving, operational optimization, data analytics, and project management. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, enjoy solving problems and thrive in a startup environment. You will work cross-functionally with other teams to grow this new arm of the Uber Eats business.

For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$91,000 per year - USD$101,500 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year. What You'll Do
- Build: Create more creative and efficient processes to target users with promotions and impressions in a compelling way to generate awareness and convince them to trial Alcohol, Retail, and other verticals
- Analyze: Quantify everything you do. Use data-driven decision making to understand business trends and craft your recommendations to senior leadership
- Test and improve: Create a roadmap to methodically increase the impact and efficiency of our promos and communications
- Turn strategy into action: Program manage all aspects of acquisition and resurrection, including weekly promo & CRM, holiday strategy, and other in-app levers that impact our growth
- Collaborate: Work with a number of partners like Legal, Marketing, and Product to deliver the tools we need to deliver growth
- 2+ years of professional work experience, or 1 + relevant Masters degree
- 3+ years of operations, business/ general management, growth operations, strategy, planning, management consulting or similar experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle problems logically; Data-driven approach to decision making and sound business judgment to determine project performance and financial viability, grounded in analytical thinking
- Bias toward action and master simplifier - constantly pushing toward alignment, clarity and execution on tight timelines
- Phenomenal collaborator and someone who proactively partners across teams
- Self-motivated, works independently and possess strong organization and time management skills
- Creative approach that enjoys experimentation and is willing to take bold bets despite risk of failure
- Management consulting, marketplace growth operations, or strategy work in a large business (1+ years preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel/ Google Sheets, SQL preferred
