Overview:
The Strategic Finance, Associate is a highly analytical and impactful role that will be focused on the drivers of key financial results and provides insights to the entire business. In this role you will act as a partner to various department leaders, ensure there is a deep understanding of the primary drivers of financial performance, and provide recommendations for operational improvements. You will lead all financial analysis involving subscription and services margins and will be a key participant with the financial modeling and due diligence of prospective acquisitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive reporting framework to track financial KPIs, metrics, and trends, facilitating strategic decision-making.
  • Accountable for monthly executive-level presentations and reports, effectively summarizing complex data and insights.
  • Performs various analyses on our Service operations, key performance drivers, profitability, and resource capacity planning.
  • Interacts on a regular basis with leaders of the Service organization to highlight steps for improvement
  • Evaluates account, program, and project profitability against budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Offers insights and recommendations on resource allocation strategies so the business can successfully execute for clients and against internal goals while achieving overall growth and profitability targets.
  • Provides critical analyses in determining our pricing models for our various products with a focus on hosting environment strategies and cost drivers
  • Partner with Strategic initiatives team to provide financial due diligence support for M&A activities, primarily assessing target companies' financial quality and evaluating potential synergies.
  • Analyzes data across departments, linking how operational activities are impacting financial results and providing actionable recommendations to applicable department leaders.
  • Collaborates with leaders across the business and other members of the FP&A team on financial planning and forecasting activities, particularly owning service-related revenue and hiring projections.
  • Partners with accounting and leaders across the organization to facilitate accurate and compliant revenue recognition practices and cost allocation methodologies, providing necessary data and insights to support financial audits and reporting.
  • Performs other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, transaction advisory, Strategic Finance, investment banking, consulting, or other highly analytical roles.
  • Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with Adaptive, PowerBI or similar tools a plus.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements & accounting principles
  • Proven experience with financial modeling, reporting, analytics, or a related field, preferably within a software-based organization or with software-focused clients.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically and execute swiftly.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
