AddressBackground: AquaSteady is a pioneering research initiative backed by Phase II funding from the U.S.National Science Foundation Convergence Accelerator. AquaSteady introduces a revolutionary water-absorbent hydrogel derived from seaweed. This innovative solution aims to empower farmers by enhancing soil fertility and water retention, thereby safeguarding crops against drought, and providing a reduced need for irrigation. As a cross-disciplinary endeavor spanning multiple institutions, AquaSteady is at the forefront of sustainable agriculture research and development.
Duties: As a fellow, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and shaping the development of AquaSteady’s business strategy and market outreach efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Developing a comprehensive business plan to drive AquaSteady’s commercialization efforts.
Conducting extensive customer discovery initiatives to understand market needs and refine product positioning.
20 hours per week until August 23, 2024, contingent on grant funding. The Summer Fellow position is contingent on budgetary approval and is 100% grant-funded.
