Head of Strategic Finance & Productivity

The Head of Strategic Finance and productivity will drive strategic change in aligning financial goals to business priorities and outcomes, organizational culture, and operating model efficiency. From a financial lens, this role is about creating strategic change that will deliver substantial benefits to our organization, including cost savings, increased accuracy, and the ability to deliver insightful financial data more rapidly. This role will also work from an organizational lens; improving our processes, removing redundancy, and increasing daily effectiveness, through both organizational structure and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing financial strategies aligned with business goals, conducting financial analysis, and collaborating and advising senior management on key decisions.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to align productivity goals with overall business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and success.
  • Aligning resources, evaluating, and categorizing capabilities, identifying those to strengthen and those to rationalize using various levers:
  • Governance & decision-making forums and tools: building nimble Capital investment committee structures and decision-making frameworks aligned to strategic vision.
  • Operating model design: identifying operational efficiency and effectiveness levers across business units including corporate shared services.
  • Partnering with Information Technology: Identifying investment opportunities, platforms, and tools for automation and data analytics
  • Collaborating across departments, assessing, and implementing productivity tools, and establishing performance metrics.
  • Leading teams in fostering a culture of efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
  • Ongoing strategic organization review:
  • Functional assessments, delayering, and b of control optimization.
  • Establishing metrics to guide change and aid in accountability.
  • Establishing appropriate change management to support the change dynamics.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and an initiative-taking approach to innovation are essential for success in this role.
  • 10 + years of experience in a Finance, Data, or Automation, role; preferably within a finance environment.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes and the potential applications of technology within this area.
  • Experience with AI, RPA, and other emerging technologies.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and the ability to creative thinking about how technology is used to solve business challenges.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
