### Job Summary:
The Strategic Alliance Manager is responsible for understanding the overall sales strategy and implementing the necessary tactics to drive sales revenue through a newly established Channel Partners program. In collaboration with senior management, this manager will be instrumental in shaping the program from its initial conceptualization to full-fledged implementation.
In this position, you will establish and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with a broad spectrum of external organizations, individuals, or entities for the purpose of driving business growth, expanding market reach, and leveraging the strengths of both parties involved. This could involve recruiting new partners, providing general support, creating incentive programs, and ensuring the overall success of the program.
### Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Partner Program Structure
Propose processes & policies intended to govern the business partners program
Define the structure of the partner program, outlining levels or tiers based on the
partner's commitment, performance, and contribution.
Clearly communicate the benefits, incentives, and responsibilities associated with
each program tier.
Create incentive programs and collateral used to recruit and track performance of
business partners
Establish effective communication channels to keep partners informed about
product updates, changes in strategy, and any relevant company information.
Facilitate regular meetings, webinars, and forums for open dialogue and
collaboration.
Manage the software platform(s) used to implement and track the program
2. Partnership Development:
Establish and document criteria for partner selection, considering factors such as
industry expertise, geographic reach, and market influence.
Identify, evaluate and recruit potential partners based on strategic alignment and
mutual benefits.
Develop a deep understanding of the industry landscape and market trends to
identify partnership opportunities.
3. Negotiation and Agreement:
Lead negotiations with potential partners to establish terms, conditions, and
contractual agreements.
Collaborate with legal and business development teams to finalize partnership
agreements.
Develop clear and concise contractual agreements that outline the terms,
expectations, and responsibilities of both parties.
Include provisions for reporting expectations, dispute resolution, termination
clauses, and confidentiality agreements.
4. Training and Support:
Provide comprehensive training programs to educate partners about the
company's products, services, and industry trends.
Offer ongoing support, resources, and tools to help partners succeed in their
roles.
5. Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners.
Act as the primary point of contact for partner interactions, addressing concerns,
and ensuring partner satisfaction.
When advantageous, develop joint business plans that outline collaborative
projects, marketing activities, and sales initiatives.
Foster a culture of cooperation and trust, encouraging partners to actively
engage in joint ventures, co-marketing campaigns, and product development
efforts.
6. Performance Monitoring:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of alliance
programs and business partner performance.
Implement a robust monitoring and reporting system to track partner activities,
sales metrics, and overall program effectiveness.
Monitor and analyze data to assess the impact of partnerships on business
metrics.
7. Recognition and Rewards:
Acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of top-performing partners through
recognition programs, awards, and incentives.
Foster a sense of partnership and loyalty by showing appreciation for the
contributions of participating organizations.
8. Feedback and Improvement:
Seek feedback from partners to continually improve the program and address
any concerns or challenges.
Regularly evaluate the success of the program and make adjustments as needed
to align with evolving business objectives.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development,
and finance, to align alliance initiatives with overall business strategies.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the company and its
strategic partners.
10. Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and challenges associated with partnerships and propose
mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
11. Market and Industry Analysis:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging
technologies.
Use market insights to guide alliance strategies and stay ahead of market
changes.
12. Executive Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting key
performance indicators, achievements, and areas for improvement in the Partner
Program.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:
Required: At least 2 years’ experience managing a successful channel partners program at a telecom, networking, or other technology related company.
