Straighten & Cut Machine Operator - Part Time Or Full Time

Job requirements

• Basic manual machining experience
• Ability to read and comprehend basic blueprints
• Math skills, ability to convert between inches and metric measurements, and geometry
• Ability to use measuring equipment (micrometers, Dial or Digital Calipers, and Optical comparator).
• Ability to stand for 9 hour shifts
• Ability to perform 2 man lifts of up to 100 pounds and using lifting equipment available whenever possible including lift trucks/hoists.

Responsibilities will include:

• Set up and run Rotary Arbor Straighten & Cut Machines
• Maintain quality assurance procedures and processes
• Periodically measure product and record the data on audits sheets per the process
• Maintain equipment and supplies
• Maintain specifications by observing machining operations, detecting issues and correcting as needed.
• Work directly with engineering to ensure work instructions are clear and correct
• Load and unload pins into scouring equipment with media
• Sort pins from media and bring to next operation or shipping
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Must be willing to work in other areas and/or perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours), non-exempt. or Part-Time (hours to be determined), non-exempt.
First shift:  6 a.m. – 4:30 pm Mon – Thurs, off every Friday.
