LIU Post is one of the most beautiful, historic and scholarly settings in the country. Our 307-acre campus is located on the north shore of Long Island, in the Village of Brookville. The Department of Theatre, Dance, and Arts Management’s goal is to combine strong pre-professional training with the skills provided by a liberal arts education. Our collegial faculty of working professionals and entrepreneurs provides inspired instruction and guides students as they perfect their skills and discover their personal approaches and interests. Individual attention and our proximity to New York City offer the optimal learning experience. The Department houses BFA programs in Acting, Musical Theatre, Production and Design, Dance, and Arts Management; a BA Program in Theatre. The undergraduate Theatre curriculum is founded on the premise that a theatre artist must understand the relationship between theory and practice, and is sourced in a rigorous, physical approach based on the Suzuki method and its intersection with other acting methodologies.
Education Requirements: Ph.D. or Master of Fine Arts degree plus exceptional professional experience. Candidates should demonstrate notable professional and academic achievements, as well as five years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
· Extensive Professional and academic experience
· Teaching experience on the college level;
· Ability to work collaboratively in a program based in physical theatre and cutting edge training.
· Skills in leadership, and oral and written communication
Working Conditions: Office & Studio setting on campus

Salary: $1,000 - $1,350 per credit
