Position Summary:
Responsible for receiving, distribution, and storage of hospital supplies and equipment in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provides phone coverage to assist customers with issues or problems and answers questions pertaining to supply distribution.
- Checks all requisitions, either paper or electronic prior for requesting department, quantify, correct stock number and description.
- Completes requisitioning process by picking-up stock and delivering to appropriate department, within specified time constraints and productivity standards.
- Inventory, replenish, and deliver all exchange carts within specified time constraints and productivity standards.
- Immediately fills all emergency or ‘STAT’ requisitions.
- Receives, inspects, and verifies all supplies and equipment delivered to the medical center within the specified time constraints and productivity standards.
- Completes inventory control requirements.
- Delivers all non-inventory supplies and/or equipment ordered on special requisition.
- Prepares outbound packages for shipment.
- Maintains all supply areas in a clean and orderly manner, including warehouse, supply rooms and utility rooms.
- Performs other related job duties as requested.
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Six months of prior data entry work experience
- Must possess valid Michigan Driver’s License and be insurable under the hospital insurance program
Preferred:
- Formal education or training beyond High School.
- Post high-school math courses and/or computer training.
- Prior experience in receiving and distributing medical and non-medical supplies and equipment.
