JOB DESCRIPTION: STORAGE MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER
REPORTS TO: REGIONAL PROPERTY MANAGER OR
AREA MANAGER
FLSA STATUS: Full Time /Part
Time/ Hourly / Non-Exempt

OVERVIEW:
- With direction from the Regional Property Manager or Area Manager,
the Storage Manager and Assistant Manager provide daily operations for a
designated self-storage facility. - The Manager will have oversight and supervision of the Assistant
Manager’s duties. The Assistant
Manager will be responsible for the Manager’s duties in their absence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rent storage units
- Collect rent payments
- Make collection calls for delinquent tenants
- Maximize occupancy
- Maximize revenue
- Provide customer service via phone, email and in person
- Assist customers with leasing
- Audit daily documents
- Conduct property inspections and request maintenance as needed
- Prepare daily deposits, reports, petty cash records
- Maintain a safe and clean building
- Provide input for annual budget
- Maintain tenant files
- Provide daily reports to property accountant
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior self-storage experience helpful but not required.
- GED or HS diploma.
- 2 years customer service experience.
- Able to work weekends as scheduled.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer skills.
Work Hours:
- 40 hours scheduled per week, with flexibility for on call pager and
emergency response.
DRIVING/TRAVELING REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
