Exciting opportunity to join Pottery Barn, at Christiana in Newark, DE. We are a home furnishings retailer and your role will be to check in product, to ship product, to help with the visual merchanidsing of the store and to give great customer service when clients pick up orders.

All candidates need to have a retail background in operations or visuals.

Pottery Barn is looking for a talented and dedicated individual to join our Newark, DE Stock Associate team.

Job Description

The Stock Associate is responsible for the daily stock of all Pottery Barn products in the store. This includes stocking shelves, picking up and removing products from shelves, and restocking other product as needed. The Stock Associate will work closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities
Receive and process deliveries, as well as general customer feedback, ensuring that product orders are accurate and timely.

• Maintain product stock levels in the store by following procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain product displays by ensuring that they are organized, attractive, and appealing to customers by removing items as needed.
• Ensure that all Pottery Barn products are in stock by requesting assistance when there are shortages or when there are product returns or cancellations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• This position will be located in our Newark, DE location. Hours will vary based on needs of needs of the individual employee.

Skills & Qualifications
Strong customer service skills; ability to interact with customers in a professional manner at all times.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers both verbally and written; ability to write clear technical instructions for delivery drivers to follow orders accurately.
• Ability to lift 50lbs; must be able to stand for long periods of time while working on orders; may require bending, reaching, twisting, squatting or kneeling to retrieve products from shelves or boxes. Must be able to lift over 100lbs occasionally; may require lifting over 25lbs occasionally; may require lifting over 100lbs frequently. Must be able to work independently with little supervision when performing duties as assigned. Must have good organizational skills; must have strong time management skills; must have strong communication skills; must have strong problem solving skills; must have strong customer service skills; must have strong computer skills; must have strong interpersonal skills; must have strong decision making skills; must have a high level of integrity. Must be able to pass a background check upon hire, including fingerprinting if required by law or company policy

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
