Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of medical equipment and instruments. Duties
- Maintain and organize sterilization area.
- Monitor and document sterilization processes.
- Assist dental team with chairside duties as needed.
- Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
- Assist with inventory management of dental supplies.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of pathogens.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure proper handling and storage of sterilized items.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or medical setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical coding, aseptic technique, and dental terminology is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
