DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs statistical work by assisting in collecting, compiling, reviewing, and interpreting statistical data in residential submissions. Collaborates closely with the management to identify and address inaccuracies in data submitted by companies and assist in corrective actions.
TECHNICIAN I:
- Performs data entry and moderately complex statistical data analysis that include quality checks. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Employees at this level may:
- Perform statistical data entry.
- Analyze data for accuracy and completeness.
- Document written summary of errors when discovered.
- Develop detailed knowledge of the Texas Residential Statistical Plan.
TECHNICIAN II:
- Performs highly complex statistical data analysis, identifies data quality concerns and documents, and communicates with the insurance industry and the Residential Manager.
- Works independently under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. In addition to the duties outlined for Technician 1, employees at this level may:
- Evaluate data used in analyses and preparation of reports
- Follow up and explain data errors with the insurance companies
- Collaborate with Residential Manager and TICO customers on data corrective measures and resubmission of data
- Respond to inquiries from companies on statistical matters.
- Develop and maintain practical skills in TICO residential Postgres or other database applications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma
- Familiarity with the principles of data quality checks and analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- 1 to 3 years of data analysis experience.
PREFERRED
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in mathematics, statistics, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry

Pay: $24.00 - $31.25 per hour
