JOB DESCRIPTION
As a SGR VP – Card Services, you will work with our regional team members responsible for representing the firm’s interests before state and municipal government to ensure the development and execution of a comprehensive legislative and advocacy strategy to protect the firm’s interests in the Card Services line of business. This will include monitoring legislative activities, analyzing policy and political trends, educating public officials and coordinating advocacy campaigns with industry partners.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with SGR regional team to effectively monitor legislative issues and engage policy makers on behalf of JPMC
- Engage with senior JPMC executives and key leaders of internal lines of business, specifically Chase Card Services to understand and advocate on behalf of key business priorities
- Manage national advocacy strategies and legislative priorities related to the Consumer & Community Bank line of business
- Coordinate with industry trade associations to best represent the firm and industry’s interests
- Build industry coalitions on matters of shared interests
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 8-10 years of experience in policy and/or lobbying experience
- Solid understanding of financial services and business issues
- Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, policy acumen, and strong work ethic
- Strong relationships and experience with navigating and understanding state politics and legislative processes
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills, including both public speaking and the ability to engage with senior executives
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of retail and consumer banking issues
