Salary Range: 50,000 - 85,000 USD Annually
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Total compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff/Sr. Accountant will be responsible for analysis and action within accounting as well as financial operations functions and processes. The Staff/Sr. Accountant will play a critical role in the accounting team, periodically working closely with the FP&A and HR. The ideal candidate must be looking to build and enhance existing processes and worksheets, and be comfortable communicating findings and recommendations to the Accounting Manager and accounting team. The Staff/Sr. Accountant must be proactive, pay close attention to details, and is driven by deadlines. The position will periodically work with VP Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Investigate unreconciled differences and prepare monthly balance sheets reconciliations
- Assist in responding to annual audit inquiries
- Work with Accounting Manager in addition to HR and/or Operations groups to identify improvement opportunities with reporting and/or processes
- Assist in ad hoc reporting and/or analysis requests from Assistant Controller, Tax Director, SVP Controller, or SVP F&A as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- 2-5 years' experience in Audit and/or Accounting
- Passion for details and "digging in"
- Solutions oriented mindset; comes with recommendations in addition to questions
- Excel jockey preferred, or foundation and willingness to learn future Excel functionality
- Ability to remain flexible and professional in challenging situations
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative
- Able to work as part of a multi-office team.
- Strong computer literacy (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus)
