Staffing Coordinator - Long Term Care at Oak Park Oasis
Staffing Coordinator plans and oversee a company’s scheduling operations. They develop and implement staffing solutions to comply with legal regulations and company procedures. Responsibilities include identifying staffing needs, creating work schedules Familiarity with Onshift staffing system or a similar system is a plus.
Staffing Coordinator duties:
- Identify company employee requirements and create a staffing strategy.
- Assist the HR department and DON with hiring and onboarding new employees.
- Prepare work schedules and enforce compliance with company and industry labor requirements.
- Create daily staffing reports, monitor employee attendance and submit weekly reports to management. Assist H.R with preparation of the weekly Open job report.
- Determine staffing shortfalls and report job vacancies and scheduling problems to human resources.
- Contacts employees to address staffing shortages in coordination with department managers.
- Confirm staff details and working hours to ensure accurate employee compensation.
- Placing weekly orders for nursing supplies and assuring that supplies are made available to the floors as needed.
In addition, this position is responsible for completing the monthly nursing schedule, maintain the Quality Assurance book and scheduling residents appointments & transportation in coordination with the nursing department.
Position Qualifications:
- Have nursing home experience
- Be computer literate
- Be extremely organized
- Staffing experience a plus
- Medical Records experience
- Able to develop a professional relationship with staff
