At Okta, we celebrate a variety of perspectives and experiences. We are not looking for someone who checks every single box - we’re looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences.
Join our team! We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.

Okta’s Customer Identity Cloud (CIC), powered by Auth0 technology, is an easy to implement authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers. We make access to applications safe, secure, and seamless for the more than 100 million daily logins around the world. Our modern approach to identity enables this Tier 0 global service to deliver convenience, privacy, and security so customers can focus on innovation.

Our commitment to identity inspires and sustains our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging strategy as we aim to celebrate and protect the identities of everyone in our network.

Okta is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to focus on driving critical, cross-functional programs for our Customer Identity Cloud Product Unit. The Staff Technical Program Manager will partner with cross-functional teams to implement, maintain, and optimize complex operational processes, inclusive of clarifying needs and value, securing commitment from teams across the organization, setting timelines, and facilitating ongoing delivery and execution. Reporting to the Manager of Technical Portfolio Management, we’re looking for someone with a passion for technology, security and delivery.

You will:

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Brand, Marketing, Field, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to manage complex and large-scale cross-team initiatives, clarifying needs and value, securing commitment from teams across the organization, setting timelines, and leading activities from design through delivery.
  • Structure, kick-off, and run continuous and/or time-bound initiatives within and beyond the Engineering and Product organizations - clarifying priorities, enabling the execution of deliverables, defining program process flows, and providing continuous transparency.
  • Program manage initiatives across multiple teams; taking a hands-on and proactive approach to unblock when needed, introduce efficiencies, and provide workflow solutions.
  • Build and maintain alignment across multiple teams for keeping a focus on execution, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Provide clear, consistent, and accurate status and progress of initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure clarity to program goals, commitments, risks, progress, and deliverable quality.
  • Ability to map dependencies and relationships between initiatives and teams, manage and mitigate risks to program deliverables, and coordinate work across disparate teams.

Might be a good fit if you:

  • 8+ years of Technical Program management experience in a SaaS product development environment.
  • Track record of collaboration in order to manage and successfully deliver large scale software development programs.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and establish credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders including an executive audience
  • Ability to influence others of varying levels within a matrix organization
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on execution in a data-informed environment.
  • Passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high-quality, innovative, and robust solutions.
  • Experience with agile and other program management methodologies.

Bonus points for:

  • Working at a high paced, fast growing tech startup.
  • Technical degree and/or background in software development.
