Job description

Purpose and Scope:
The QA/QC Auditor assists with the oversight of the Quality Management System Program implementation and works in partnership with Operations, Safety, Quality Control, Maintenance, Logistics and Purchasing to support the mission, and audits procedures to ensure all functional departments meet the contractual requirements. Also responsible for procedural compliance, and contributes to the continuous improvement initiatives across the contract. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits for contract compliance using designated systems to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Assess and develop methods to best leverage departmental best practices.
  • Conduct performance audits and assist section, department, and/or Program in developing a plan to correct identified shortcomings.
  • Conduct performance audits and analysis of outcomes with departmental Units; evaluate and report progress to Quality Manager.
  • Communicates audit findings and corrective action plans to appropriate leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Three to five years' experience working with audits.
  • Must have outstanding customer service and organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an advanced level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
  • Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
  • Must be able to understand and interpret the content of procedural and standard operational procedural manuals and instruction booklets.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communicative skills and ability to write clear and precise audit reports, procedures and documents.
  • Must be able to use software tools and be able to review and evaluate outcomes and recommend appropriate changes.
  • Fully knowledgeable of inspection and audit methods and sampling techniques.
  • Must be able to take personal responsibility for allocated tasks and work without supervision.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
  • CONUS/OCONUS: Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Work could be in an office, maintenance shop, or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Potentially prolonged sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.
  • Must possess planning/organizing skills and be able to work under deadlines.
  • Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.
  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
