General Summary:
Snapdragon Studios is seeking an experienced engineer to work directly with PC Game Developers around the world driving game optimizations to create best-in-class experiences for the Snapdragon chipset. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge pre-commercial devices and technologies and contribute to the future of PC gaming.
The position is a multi-disciplinary role where you will be responsible for collaborating with Game Developers and various partners to help optimize CPU, GPU, and the overall system performance of legacy and new games for Snapdragon. In addition to direct engagement with developers you will work to evangelize best practices and optimization strategies within the game development community.

Our highly creative teams are full of veteran Game Developers, artists, game engine experts and graphics enthusiasts who work on our latest GPU and gaming innovations around PC, including Mobile, Handheld, and XR.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 1+ year of relevant Gaming Software experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience
• Knowledge of C/C++
• Knowledge of graphics APIs (OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan)
• Understanding of modern PC, and console game engine rendering pipelines
• CPU and GPU performance analysis skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally

Pay range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus). - Experience developing, profiling, and optimizing modern rendering algorithms
